Paul Mitchell color care shampoo?
I got my hair colored today at a salon that used P.Mitchell hair color. I know I don't HAVE TO use the pm brand shampoo to take care of my color, but I bought the "skinny" shampoo and conditioner. The dresser told me that they were out of the actual color care package but that the skinny would be just fine. Is this true? Wouldn't want it to strip my color!
Shampoo can strip color, especially deep cleansing shampoos such as Paul Mitchell's shampoo3 or the tea tree special shampoo. While the skinny line isn't going to strip your color, it isn't going to make the color last as long as the color care line would. I would suggest possibly seeking the salon out again and trying the color locking spray, especially if you are the type of person that uses a lot of heat on your hair, just spray it on your hair after you towel dry it. It will help stretch your color without having to buy another bottle of shampoo and conditioner right now.
