I have different colored skin than both of my parents and they assure me that I am NOT adopted.?
What could be the reason?
If any of your grandparents or great-grandparents had darker or lighter skin it's entirely possible that this was passed down to you. It's a bit like red hair, sometimes it skips a few generations. My grandma had dark skin and my mom was very pale - just like her grandfather. It's all to do with genetics.
