cellulite cream to help broken centrioles?

hey everyone,
ive always had many issues with the skin on my face, i have broken centrioles all over my cheeks. they are not terribly bad, ive seen worse before. but the little hole dots that show up on my face still give me very low self esteem. im not looking to go for laser treatment even though its shown to be effective in most cases and ive recently been using vitamic c serum to help promote the collagen in my face ( ive heard it works well..) anyways, lately i have been using a cellulite cream for my thighs. cellulite cream promote collagen and firming of the skin and ive noticed a fast result with using the cellulite cream on my thighs. this may sound suppper strange, but if i used cellulite cream on my face wouldnt it help to promote the collagen to help diminish the broken centrioles?

has anyone ever tried something like this?

Hi Jessica
There are two ways that cellulite cream (or cosmetics formulations in general) act. First is through fat burn and drainage of the fatty acids and the action is on the subcutaneous tissue (or directly under the skin). The second way is by restoring the collagen/elastin matrix (to some extend) which is situated in the dermis (the second skin layer from top). Believe it or not some of the actives used for anti-cellulite purposes are used in facial and even eye formulations. E.g. caffeine is used to combat cellulite as well as dark circles. Having said that what you should be looking at is the ingredients list at the back of the packing. There is an exam in the universality where we had to guess the purpose of the formulation just by looking at the Ingredients list without actually knowing what it was for (I am a chemist).
So, you aim to find out more info on the active ingredients of the formulation. There are plenty of sites on the internet dedicated to active chemicals and extracts. Just make sure that the same active can be used in a face application. Usually the active are mentioned on the front of the packing or as part of the marketing claims. The rest are the chemicals used to make the formulation. You'll be surprised to find out that most of the actives are put from 5% by weight and LESS. So look for them way low in the list or just before the preservatives.
Word of warning! When you get to parabens - these are the preservatives - some of them may be irritating especially if you have more sensitive skin on the face. Some people do not experience tingling or burning when they apply a cream on the body but they do when they spread it on the face.
If you want to know more about cellulite cosmetics formulations and how to make more educated choices on cosmetics, I am giving my website below.
Hope it helps
