Coconut Hair Oil

Would it do good for my hair to leave coconut oil and almond oil in it over night?
I have thin, damaged hair and I've heard that coconut oil + almond oil together is very good to use as a hair treatment and I was wondering if you could use it over night? How to apply it and what the outcome would be? And don't go on about the "what about your pillow? yuck!", of course I won't lie directly on the pillow.
Your hair is thin & damaged, putting oil on your hair is not going to fix the damaged overnight, maybe temporary but not permanently. And yes, oil is smelly & yucky period! You need to rinse it off.
Taking care of damaged hair is to eliminate what causes your hair to get damaged in the first place, and only YOU know what that is. Cutting the split ends, stop straightening, or whatever . . . . until new growth starts. The strength comes from all the healthy foods you eat from Mother Nature not made by man.
Remember you said you have THIN hair. Treat your hair like that of a baby's hair, even though you're an adult now, you wouldn't do the stuff to a baby's hair that is damaging, same with your hair. If it's damaged now, the next step for your hair is hair loss. When that happens, it is too late to do anything about it, your hair is crying for help and oiling it is not going to fix that or reverse the damage. That's another reason why the hair industry is a billion dollar business, their main job is to make tons of profits and they don't give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss, due to 'abuse'.
