Has anyone ever made their own hair extensions by sewing on the little clip onto the hair weft?
Im going to but the clips, they are called toupee clips. Im going to just sew in the clips onto the weave because i looked everywhere foe just 14 inch clip in hair extensions but everyone only got 18" inch. I dont want to go online and buy i so dont ask me to google it.
Is it hard to do and does it last?
hey girl yes i have done this! it is easy , i got the needle and the special thread from Sally's, make sure you get the thread the same color as your hair, and honestly as far as the hair i would go kinda to a ghetto hair shop, ( i live in houston) to buy the hair! they have real hair at a really good price, don't get it from Sally's its very $$$ and not real.
just don't saw it to bulky! really easy, make sure you measure before you cut the hair. you you make about 3-4 rows for the back, usually 2 rows of 4 with the clips about an 1 1/4 apart. then on the sides make 2-3 rows with only 2-3 clips! oh and Don't make the clips to far apart they hair will sag and it will look really fake! And don't forget to razor the ends!
