I have a lot of candles and am new to making this. This is what I have and how much wax and scent do I need?
This is what I have so far and need to know what to do from here. I have no idea how much soy wax to buy and how to even price the candles. I appreciate all help as I ma asking quite A BIT!
I have 12 small bottles of fragrance oils.
Romantic musk, sassafras, sweet pea, tangerine, cherry blossom, apple cinnamon, white tea & ginger, honeysuckle, clean, passion fruit, baked apple pie, and apple and clover
I have 230 soy based color chips for coloring wax.
Yellow,Blue and Christmas Green
I have approx. 200 mixed size candle wicks already tabbed
I have approx. 2 3/4# of palm stearic acid.
(used to stabilize soy wax)
The majority of the lot is candle jars in which I have 105 total jars...different sizes
60ea. 8oz frosted glass candle jars w/lids
31ea. 24oz clear glass "honey pot" candle jars w/lids
7ea. 10 oz clear glass "cube shaped" candle jars w/lids
5ea. 14oz clear glass "star shaped"
2ea. 14oz clear glass "heart shaped"
There are a wide variety of candles you can make at home. You will need to do some research and decide which type of candles you want to make and sell to know exactly what supplies you need. Try making a couple of batches adn then assess how much of each raw material you will need.
To price your candles you need to work out the costs of your product. These costs include the cost of materials for the candle, the cost of marketing and selling the candle and the cost of running your home candle business.
