Cleansing after vaginal infection treatment? HELP PLEASE LADIES!!!!!?
Ok so a week ago i went to the doctor and he said i had a vaginal infection he gave me some gel to insert every night before i go to bed.
Well what i want to know is once i'm done with the treatment how do i flush my vag out and get rid of any extra gel or anything that got left behind? Also how will i know i'm cured? and when is it safe to have sex again?
I know these are questions my doctor should have cleared up for me but unfortunately he's an asshole (excuse my language lol) Please only serious answers or personal experiences please! 
the course of treatment is just 5 days (nights in this case)
The gel is meant to be left in, so don't flush it out.
Your doctor should have told you how long the course of treatment should be (how many nights to put the gel in). If he said to take it for 7 days, then after 7 days the bacterial infection should be healed and should be able to have sex again. It's just like taking oral antibiotics, except it's in vaginal gel form.
As far as sex goes, usually if you develop a vaginal infection the doctor should test you for chlamydia and gonorrhea just to be safe. They have been shown to be a cause, although it may be caused by something totally different in your case.
After the infection has been cured, you should be able to have sex again. (After the full course of treatment is completed).
