What kind of spray paint is safe for nursery furniture?
I am trying to paint an old changing table to give it a new, fresh look. But I know lead paint is bad to have around children, so i'm thinking that lead free latex paint should be fine... But i'm not sure what kind of spray paint is lead free! I read all over the label and can't find anything helpful!!!
Lead based paint was banned in 1978 for all HOUSE paint. (well... the allowable level was reduced to 0.06%)
That doesn't mean spray paint can't have it. However... The consumer product safety commission requires the lead content (higher than 0.06%) of any paint be listed on the container.
Just read the can and have a fine time with your new baby.
