Should a salon make you blow dry your own hair?
My sister was getting her hair highlighted at essentials salon in Doylestown, PA today. When the person was done she walked her over to a chair and said "you don't mind blow drying your own hair, do you?". She didn't know what to say so she was like "I guess not".
For $80 worth of highlights you would think the person would blow dry it for her!!!! Not to mention the salon is snoody to begin with!!!
Is this normal or what?! What do you think?
Then I went to there website to get there info to send them a letter on her behalf and I found their "spa etiquette". Included in this is that they charge you for any service that isn't canceled with in 48 hours, you cannot under any circumstance bring children, you can't bring your cell phone in, and you have to arrive 20 minutes prior to your service! And they spell out that tips aren't included in your price. Duh. What a racket!!!!! That place is nuts? What do you think?
Heck no! That is not normal at all! Your sister should have asked "wth"?! Should have spoken w/ the manager. Your sister is too waaay too nice. Unheard of. She is paying for this person to do her hair all services included until she walks outta the door. She had better not tipped this woman.
