If your a professional ceramic floor tile layer and u charge by the measurements of the area to be tile how ?
How do u figure your charge amount?? what is your going rate??
I usually try to charge a basic sq. footage price and then add extras if I need to make more on the job. Tile about $2.25,
Hardibacker or cement board, $0.65. Sometimes if the job is extremely small, I will make very little $ with this base price so it's necessary to add costs for floor prep, removing toilet or appliances/furniture, removing baseboard etc. I've found that this is more effective than raising the per ft. price and seeming too expensive to the customer.
I work in Ohio and I think my prices represent the low average price in most of rural America.
