Ceramic Edge Blade
What type of wet saw am I looking for to cut ceramic tile?

I am looking for a wet saw to cut tile, but not the kind with a circular blade. Instead, this type has a wire blade more like a bandsaw. This type of saw can cut curves in tile. I've rented one before, but nobody at Home Depot knows what I am talking about. I need it to cut curved edges in small 2"x2" tiles.
I found out it is called a ring saw: http://www.aaproducts.com/SAWS.html

Can't find anywhere that rents them, though.

They are rare. And I ve only seen them for sale at the large trade shows. If your local rentel places doesn t have one, just rent a regular one. You Can cut the 2 x 2 on a curve one of two ways.. If its a matte finish tile you can cut a few straight edges off and then go after the curve. If its a bright glaze tile , cut the straight edges off just a hair away from it and then hold the tile up on an angle and cut it . You can try and cut 1 pc since some bright glaze may not chip the glazing like some will. Use a fine tip permanent marker to draw your line and let it dry a few seconds before cutting GL
