How do I use a hair mask ?!?
I have Tigi Catwalk Headshot Reconstructive Intense Conditioner & it has in the directions "or use as a hair mask - leave on 5 to 10 minutes". It doesn't really elaborate on how to use it as a hair mask. Do I use it on wet or dry hair? Please help , thanks (: !
Okay so I get that you have to use on damp hair after shampoo-ing but do I use it as regular conditioner as well -( before I apply it as a hair mask ] ?
After you shampoo only your hair, you might as well get out of the shower so you can put on and leave on the mask.
-You comb through your hair with a wide tooth comb, so the mask gets on all of your hair.
-apply as much as needed, like putting in conditioner or shampoo.
maybe comb through again, and check to make sure you got all of your hair.
But take caution if you have oily hair, do NOT apply to the roots.
-Wrapping a Wal-mart/plastic bag tightly over your hair like a towel will help it settle and hydrate your hair.
-Wait the 5-10 minutes, or even 15.
-Take the bag off, and comb and run your fingers through.
-RINSE it off in the shower, but don't over-wash your hair.
You want to leave the conditioner in a little.
-Apply regular conditioner and rinse with cold water to seal the cuticle.
-Wet hair is very elasticky so ALWAYS use a WIDE TOOTH COMB!
and comb your hair and apply whatever shine serum or heat protecter you use if you use them.
Make sure you use a mask every week, and your hair will stay very shiny, soft, and healthy!
TIPS:
Keep heat styling to a minimum. It will damage and dry out your hair very badly. Believe me, I know.
ALWAYS rinse hair with cold water.
ALWAYS use a wide tooth comb on wet hair!
Never Bristles!
Not a brush!
That is so important, it must be done the right way.
If you have oily hair, use vineger or baby powder on your roots.
If you have dry hair, put olive oil on the tips only. (Or mayonaisse everywhere but the roots)
If you color your hair, use a color shampoo!
It keeps the color and they usually work better.
Use honey after shampooing for shine, every 3-4 days if you want.
