Rubber Air Rise
![]() |

PHYSICS!!! Anyone able to solve this?
Someone throws a rubber ball vertically upward from the roof of a building 8-00 m in height. The ball rises then falls. It just misses the edge of the roof, and strikes the ground. If the ball is in the air for 3.00 s, what was the initial velocity? (disregard air resistance. a= -g = -9.81m/s*2
h₀=8m, h=0, t=3s, v=?m/s
h=h₀+v₀t-0.5gt^2
0=8+3v₀-0.5g*9
v₀=(4.5*9.81-8)/3
v₀=12.05 m/s
