Should I layer my hair?

Should I layer my hair? I have really thin hair, and the tips end at around my belly button. It used to be super straight but I got a perm two months ago. My hair is just wavy now though.

I would like to layer it but I've heard that it's bad to do if your hair is curly? But I have also seen many pictures of people with wavy layered hair.

Oh my god yes! Please layer it your hair is really pretty and since its wavy layered it will look so much cuter. My hair is brown and really wavy but it's up to my arm pits my mom's friend recommends it getting layered since its wavy.
