Major companies all over America ruin and trash items like clothing, furniture, equipment etc. as opposed to giving them to charities. This seems unreasonable, as they have a tax incentive to do so. However companies who give to one charity face image blackmail by others who want to insist that by giving to one and not another that said company does not support their charities' cause, or are against it. This leads to companies refusing to give to charity at all. So are companies cold or are activists just too ruthless.
