i use the organic root stimulator relaxer and i want to change it to Affirm Relaxer. good or bad idea?
so I've been using the Organic Root Stimulator for about 10 months and my hair seems to be thinner. I've been thinking about changing relaxers because i don't think my hair is a fan of the relaxer. I was thinking about changing it to Affirm Relaxer by Avlon but I don't know what would happen and i don't want to lose anymore hair. I'm kind of scared to change so any words of wisdom or advice or any comments would be greatly appreciated.

You might need to look at some other problems beside the relaxer. Thinner hair could be caused by hereditary thinning starting, over styling stress, not properly conditioning weekly, not thoroughly neutralizing after the relaxer, the list goes on. So evaluate your whole hair care maintenance routine. Go thru and read some of the answers from people who ask how to maintain healthy hair with a relaxer and compare what you do to the responses. Everyones head is different, but there will be some common points that are true across the board.
Yes, affirm is a pro product and has a special formulation called fiberguard that protects hair from over processing, But if your hair is already breaking, you have to go ahead and cut away the dead hair, even it up, and get a deep conditioner or reconstructor to strengthen the remaining hair.
