Well, I'm a guy. If you didn't quite catch that from the title.

So I'm wondering exactly what I can do about my hair. I blow-dry it, comb it, and use some Aveda-for-Men "grooming creme" to try to make it more controllable. But as the day wears on, inevitably it begins to kind of puff up, or mushroom around my ears. Pretty much, I'll be left with relatively flat hair below my ears, and everything from my ear lobe and above will be sort of puffed out, gathered specifically around my ears, which stick out as it is.

Is there anything I can do right now, without buying anything? Because I hate how I look as it is, and my hair is only pissing me off further.
