How to care for my hair..help?
I have thick, coarse, wavy, hair that is prone to dryness..especially the ends and when it's humid outside..it poofs.
My hair is shoulder length with layers. I was just wondering what's the best way to take care of my hair and what kind of products should I use? Right know I just use Wen sweet almond mint cleansing conditioner..I don't use any heat on my hair right now.. I haven't for a year..but I'm gonna have to start styling it and in a few months.
Does anyone have an idea as to how Selena Gomez takes care of her hair? Because my hair is the same texture as hers and my hair is also thick.
You can see how coarse and stuff it is in these pictures..which is exactly how my hair is..but hers looks so good..mine looks..blah..

You're ALREADY using WEN, according to their commercials should do 'magic for your hair'.
So what do you need our help for?
My DIL uses that, but it looked like she used Samy found at Rite-Aid or Walgreens and I've seen result of Samy also. . . or I wouldn't be recommending products here, since I don't get credit for doing that.
If I bottle all my tips & suggestions and charge people $45 each, would people buy it? Of course not! I'm a nobody, but you get them all FREE ON YA HAIR.
The hair industry is a billion dollar business, their main job is to make tons of profits, and they do not give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to 'abuse'. Just about anyone can grow hair down to their feet, shampooing and/or conditioning the cheapest product OTC, if their hair is healthy, and do not have chemicals like perming, dyeing, or straightening their hair.
Selena has a $250 hairstylist provided by the Disney Productions. As far as I know, they do the less damaging for her hair since she's an asset to Disney. She also wear a lot of wigs, for her show, movie stars & models do to prevent more damage to their hair.

I know hair. I have over 4 decades of hair know-how. I have silky, shiny, soft, smooth very healthy hair down to my knees. Previously damaged by perming & dyeing in the 80's & 90's. I've known people in their 30's whose hair stopped growing from ironing their hair in the 70's. I've always washed with OTC product & no conditioner since it is no longer damaged. We have soft water. When traveling I briefly rinse with bottled water.
