Volume questions for elementary students?
I need some ideas for some word problems about volume for elementary students. I don't need anyone to write the problems for me, I just want some ideas. What would be some challenging and fun problems? I need ideas for all ages K-8.
There are always questions about needing to move a liquid from a larger container to smaller containers so that they are easier to transport.
Their are questions going the other way. Such as how much gas was dispensed if 10 cars each got 25 gallons of gass. How big would that tank need to be to hold all that gas is one cubic foot. Etc.
Using recipies where you have to double or halve the recipies also makes good volume problems. Especially if you get to cook the food after you figure out the recipe.
