What will happen to the planets after the sun dies?
I don't mean the sun becoming a red giant or what dwarf, I mean after its disappeared.Will they still orbit nothing, be shot off into space, or something else?
Well, ..., the first 3 inner planets will be consumed by the Red Giant Sun. The others that survive may eventually escape the sun's gravitational field and wander in cosmos until they are captured by another star.
